Music · e-inkRealLiner — One track on the wall, like a work in a museum
Liner
An e-ink frame that hangs a single track from 320kbps.club, twice a day: the cover and its label, laid over a map of where the artist comes from.
Liner is an e-ink frame that shows one track at a time, like a work in a museum. Twice a day it picks a track on 320kbps.club and hangs it on the wall: the cover, its details on a museum label, and the map of the country or city the artist comes from.
Everything is made for ink: six colours, no greys, a cover dithered dot by dot, text that is never smoothed. Every track also exists as a 4K wallpaper and in black and white.
Not one more screen: a quiet object that changes twice a day.
What you'll find there
- A Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W and a Pimoroni Inky Impression 7.3" Spectra 6 panel, in a plain frame with a mat
- A control room on your phone to change the track, follow a curator or a playlist
- A gallery of 4K wallpapers to download
- Open-source code (MIT License) and a build guide: about a hundred euros of parts and an afternoon
